743. What are the practical limits of human knowledge of god's will and the heavenly realm? I have seen many people drive themselves into madness and conspiracy theories chasing knowledge sometimes with the use of cannabis and psychedelic drugs, and came to Christianity for the first time after struggling with that myself. i have wondered if certain substances or mental afflictions can give access to knowledge god does not intend for us to have or which causes us to lose our discernment of what knowledge comes from Him and what comes from the adversary.

744. how do you tell the difference between a spiritual illness and a mental illness? what boundaries do you use to discern when someone needs to be handed over from spiritual care to the help of qualified medical professionals, a psychologist or psychiatrist?
