Inverted Orthodoxy 454- AER, Jesus walks in, and Resurrection

Sept 3-  AER: Doug, I would like a recantation- you said that the philistines capturing the ark of the covenant happened after David brings the ark to Jerusalem BUT the philistines take the ark in 1 Samuel 4, its returned in 1 Samuel 6 and David brings it to Jerusalem in 2 Samuel 6.

lol, caps in my AER were inadvertent. But I wanted to clarify that I agree with Doug in I meant that, as the leader, the pastor needs to shepherd the people to be “priests” and representatives of God to others. I didn’t really mean a business, or medical, or legal generalist, but a spiritual generalist. I hate whe churches are run like a business.

1. Aug 5- If Jesus walked into our church this Sunday, what do you think He would commend? What might He challenge?

2. If after Jesus’s resurrection he still had the nail holes in his hands what does that mean for us at the resurrection? Will we be resurrected in the same state we were when we died including injuries? What about cremation? If we are in new/rejuvenated bodies why wasn’t Jesus?
