Inverted Orthodoxy 380- AER, One Flesh and Smudging ceremonies

Apr 3, 2025

In this weeks episode of Inverted Orthodoxy, Pastors Kyle, Blake, and Doug discuss the following questions:

475. AER: you were discussing socialism and communism in heaven. What are your thoughts on the verse talking about storing up our treasures in heaven? Matthew 6:19-21 what is this referring to?

476. AER Just finished watching this week’s show and I had to laugh at you guys Reminded me of three old guys sitting around a table at Timmie’s talking about a hockey game that was played 20 years ago. Love and appreciate the show. Keep them coming.

477. AER Singapore, a benevolent dictatorship, is supposedly a “Christian nation “. If the citizens are Christian, then they are bland, entitled, and not exactly on fire for god. I realize that in describing individuals, that would be an unfair stereotype, but I mean it as the characteristic of the nation.

478. AER In your podcast last week you talk about the separation of church and state, the end of Christendom. With the upcoming election in Canada, one party has proposed removing the charitable status for advancing religion. I recognize this may affect all religious organizations, but how do you think this will impact Churches and Christian charities? Should this be a factor Christian’s take into consideration when thinking about who to vote for?

479. What does it mean to be of one flesh? Is it marriage? Is it sex? How can it be interpreted in today’s age?

480. What do you know about the indigenous smudging ceremony? is it contrary to the christian faith? some say it mimics the ritual of incense in the jewish or catholic faith. My children are being offered this opportunity through school, and i am uncomfortable with it from initial thought. I would appreciate your perspective.
